Roush Owners’ and Enthusiasts’ Association

The Roush Owners’ and Enthusiasts’ Association (ROEA) is up and running. As President, I would like to thank all those that helped in making a dream come true. I am very excited about what this club is about and what a great future Roush owners will have. Our mission is to preserve and enhance the ownership experience of all vehicles, engines and parts produced by Roush Performance. The general purpose of this association, as a non-profit society and a national club, shall be to preserve and maintain Roush Performance products and to serve as an accurate and technical source of information concerning these products for the benefit of its members as well as the public.
Let me update you on what has been accomplished to date:
The name of the club is Roush Owner’s and Enthusiasts’ Association. We are working with Roush on the design of our logo.

Newsletter: Shannon Kinder will be heading up this committee. She will be designing the newsletter to put on the website. Please contact her with any ideas, articles, etc. that you would like to see in the newsletter. Her email address is skinder1@sc.rr.com.
Membership: As Treasurer, Kimberly Thrasher will head up this committee. Please help her by passing out applications and talking up our club everywhere you go, i.e. shows, cruise-ins, driving events.
Sponsors/Vendors: Ray Cull and Marc Nutter have volunteered to head up this committee. They will be contacting different companies to see if they would like to support our club. They will also be working on getting these companies to attend our future events. If you have any suggestions or companies/people you would like for them to contact, please email them at rcull100@aol.com and mln385@netzero.net respectively.
Website: Casey Mier is in charge of getting the website set up. He is working closely with the website administrator at Roush making sure the club website is fabulous.
As our needs increase other committees will be added. Please let me know if you have suggestions.
Membership
We will have three classes of members: Active, Charter Lifetime and Honorary.
• Active: $25/year which will include access to the “members” portion of the club website, discounts at Roush Performance, a quarterly club newsletter, the Roush newsletter, membership card and window decal. This membership is renewable in January of each year.
• Charter Lifetime: a one time fee of $250 which will include all benefits of the yearly membership plus a club jacket at 50% off the price.
• Honorary: Person of distinction appointed by the Board. Suggestions/comments, of course, will come from the entire membership.
We offered Charter Lifetime memberships first and have received quite a few. We are now offering the Active memberships.
Tax Payer ID, Incorporation, Non Profit Status
We now have a tax payer ID. The incorporation application has been sent to the Secretary of State of N.C. As soon as we receive our Charter and incorporation papers, I will apply for non-profit status with the IRS. By-laws are being written as the IRS requires these.
Checking Account/PO Box/Bonding of Officers
Kimberly has opened a checking account and a post office box. The PO box number will now be included on our applications. She is also looking into the procedures for bonding our officers.
Dealers
Casey Mier is working on the cards that will be given to each Roush buyer. Casey and Carol will be working with the Roush dealers on keeping applications to the club on hand and all dealer-sponsored events.
Club Apparel
As soon as we have a logo, apparel can be ordered. Carol and Casey are working with suppliers on cost. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to have, i.e. shirts, jackets, tote bags, etc. please let us know. My email is mabarker@carolina.rr.com and Casey’s is CJMier@Roushind.com.
Website
We have a website which has been set up by Roush but is not available to everyone yet. As soon as it is finalized a link will be added to the Roush Performance website. Watch for the announcement.
40th Anniversary of the Mustang Event, Nashville, TN, 2005
I am working on how our club can be represented at this event. An update will be forthcoming. I do need to know who will be attending. A Roush car will be leading the pony trail across America for this event. More info to follow.
Who would have believed that we would have all this accomplished in only a month! Let’s all work together to make this a club that not only Roush Performance product owners will want to belong to but everyone interested in these products. I know you will all print the application form and keep it in your car like I do to pass out. If you run across a website where you can list our club – put it on there. THIS IS YOUR CLUB. Please let anyone on the Board know how we can make it bigger and better. As soon as we get all the basics accomplished, it will be time for events. Events need volunteers and I know all of you will step up to the plate.
