Smile Ordered new wheels & tires

I ordered wheels for my '05 Sport last night. They are the GT500 clones in chrome, sized 18 x 9.5. Mustang Tuning has them for $204.99 each with no shipping or handling charges, best price I could find. I ordered Sumitomo HTR Z II's in 275/40/18 tires from The Tire Rack for $135 ea. I know Sumitomos aren't the best out there, but I'll be lucky to put 2000 miles on the car each year with work and family matters, it's basically my "grocery getter". Here are some pics of the wheels and the tires. I'll post up some pics when I get them installed on the car. I'm pretty geeked right now, I can't wait to get them on.

Sweet. Sumitomo HTR's are good choice. Had them on my Boxster after my Pirelli P-Zero's let go on a wet road. They are great here in FL in the rain.

You are going to love those wheels. They completely change the look of the car. I used them on my wife's car. The stock ones just didn't look right after adding the body kit.

"Shameless excuse to post pic of Yelleanor."

Hopefully they will get here the first part of next week. I won't be able to get them mounted until the weekend of 17th or the week of the 19th. I hate waiting!

Nice look.I chose the 20's but the ones you posted was second on my list.I went with the FOOSE wheels cause Chip was a class-mate in Cali back in 1988 and a goodguy.Like the look of the 20's in the fender wells. My wife's car may get the GT500's on her's.

I used TireRack.com to pick tire sizes using same sized rims. I ended up getting 255/45/18s for the front and 285/40/18s for the rear. I ordered BF Goodrich KDW 2s since this is her "everything but snow" car.

I got them mounted and balanced yesterday. If I have the time tonight I am going to slap them on and take pics. I have 2 little boys, a 3 week old and 3 year old, and mommy needs a break by the time I get home! They look awesome and the 275/40's fit perfect on the 9.5" wide wheels.

How dare you try to have a life outside this forum!

Just yanking your chain. They are going to look awesome when you get them installed.

Edit: Just looked at your pictures, how do you like the K&N FIPK for the 05? How much was it, and where did you get it, did it require a re-flash?
