Dash Beep???

Ok, another lil issue on my '05 just started. As I am driving, there is "Beep" from my dash/driver side. Haven't been able to find it as it only lasts a couple of seconds at a time and can't seem to find the triggering mechanism. Any body else dealt with this or know what is causing it? All the dash lights/gauges seem to work absolutely fine.

Both belts buckled. E-brake disengaged. It sounds like the beep when a door is open and the key is on. Double checked doors and trunk, all secured. Puzzling thing it is only intermittent. Though I did notice it tripped more going over some speed bumps just now, around 1500 rpm's.

It might be

Loose trunk latch ? With ford the ajar switch is part of the latch not a pin. Push the trunk down and see if it needs ajusting

I know exactly what it is. It is the door ajar light. It probably happens whenever you hit a bump. If you look in the bottom left of the console you will see the little red light go on really fast. It happens to mine sporadically; no rhyme or reason. I have not taken it in yet because I have no had time and it does not happen enough to REALLY annoy me yet. Let me know what you find out.

It may sound a little obvious but, are you 100% sure this isn't happening while your blinker is on? I've noticed it if left on for an extended period of time. Just a thought. BluBoy had a point also, my trunk lid was loose and did the same.

P.S. Trade you issues?

Yes, not a blinker issue. As for the dash light, I've tried to look, but never seen a light flicker. Too damn busy trying to locate the beeping noise. Smile, just think about how happy you'll be when you were one of the first Roush SC's in the country on the '05's. A Pioneer indeed. You'd think they would have the R&D already down on it, though. It is almost 2006. Someone has to work the querks out. We'll see if the GT500 is out in June like they predict at 475hp.

Yeah... I would bet dollars it is the door ajar light. When mine does it the light flashes on and off quite quick and the sound goes on after the light flashes.

A bad relay in the dash would buzz like that as well. Remove the bottom dash panel and when it goes off, reach under a feel if you can find the buzz location. little 1 & 1/2 inch black cubes, usually say Bosch on them.

mine beeped, but only every time you went over 73 mph and in reverse. finally figured out the computer had been programmed for a car to go overseas, had the factory reprogram after i convinced them i had done my research and that was what was wrong lol. doesnt sound like your problem at all though, does sound like the exact same area that mine was beeping from though.

So far, no more beeps today. Opened and shut all doors and trunks. Sounds like there is a pin that needs adjustment. Just don't know which one or where.

It did it on mine and it was the trunk sensor!!!! I would just open and reclose trunk lid and it was gone . I have a suspicion that is the cause of the mystery of the battery going dead some times after not using car fo 2 weeks or so.
