Oil Pressure sensor

Hi, Has anyone attempted installing a Autometer electric Oil Pressure gauge, according to my manual it's threaded into the oil pan. Will the new sensor thread in or do I need an adapter. I would appreciate all advice, thanks

That's for an oil TEMPERATURE sensor. You asked about an oil PRESSURE sensor. Did you get the wrong directions or something, or just a typo?

On edit: the file you posted shows the R&R of the oil TEMP sensor, but in the pic looks like it lists the oil PRESSURE sensor......
Hmmm....interesting.

I'm confused , at the top of the attach it says temp, within the attach it says pressure.

Do a search, this topic was discussed within the last week or two.
Pre '05 the pressure sensor was located on the oil filter adapter, which is also where the output hose from the radiator went to. There were a couple of plugs that you could remove with an allen wrench or hex-head as far as I remember. Not sure if anyone ever said it was the same deal on the 05+s or not... wouldn't hurt to crawl under there and take a peak around.

Yeah, I edited my first post..... It doesn't make sense...... It's got to be the temp sensor though, no way it could pull a pressure reading from the pan.

I agree, the pan would not be the place for pressure,

Thats what I get for buying a cd rom manual on ebay
