Question License Plate and Fog Light Question

I saw a post on the forum about not being able to turn on the Ford fog lights and the smaller Roush fog lights at the same time. Do you get to choose which ones you want on? and if so how do you do that? Or do only the Roush ones go on?

Also I live in New York and I know theres a law requiring front license plates. In every picture on this site I noticed that all the mustangs have no front license plate and it looks awsome. Has anyone from New York who has purchased an 05 / 06 Roush know if the dealer ruins the front of the car by sticking on a plate? or do they leave it off? When I go to purchase my stage 1 in a couple of weeks I really dont want that plate on there in the front but im afriad the dealer will stick it on because of NYS laws.

First, welcome to the site, pics of your ride are required
Second, can't help you with the license plates but about the foglights, go to you car.......sit in your car as if you were going somewhere.....look for a little tiny switch very close to your left knee........there it is. (its below the OEM light switch) you can switch between the GT foglights or the Roush foglights, not all 4 at the same time.

Welcome!! In most states, it is illegal to have all four fog lamps on, only one pair can be on at any giving time. Roush/Ford will make only one "toggle" type swtich for both lamps, you just have to choose which lamp to turn on.

Front Plate

I live in Texas and front plate is required. I made it clear to my salesman if they drill into the front bumper to put on the bracket I will not buy the car. He came back and told me they had to deliver it with the front plate on it or it was illegal. I had them to zip tie it to the grill and they did.

I too bought mine in Texas and specified that I would not acept dealership decals or badges but never mentioned the front plate. When it was delivered all I had advertising the dealership was a frame for my rear plate and no front plate, it was stowed safely in the trunk. As a matter of fact the salesman made a comment about how it detracted from the car's look.
