Underdrive Pulley System

I'm thinking of puting a Underdrive Pulley System, in my 05 and have a couple questions before i order them. First off, who makes the best ones. I know Steeda makes them but was wondering if there were any better. Second, how much power do they add. Third, is the install something i could do, or should i send it to a shop to get them installed. And lastly, are they even worth the money and time. If you guys could help me out asap i would appreciate it, i want to order them by the end of the week. Thanks, .

Easy mod. First time, probably no more than two hours, probably less. If you are familiar with engines/cars, shouldn't take more than 45 to an hour. Steeda is pretty much the selection around here from what I saw when I looked into it. Maybe will boost you 5-10hp. After C&L intake, JBA long tubes and 4.10's, I figured the underdrive was mandated. LOL.

I had a Steeda set on my 2000 S2 and they were fine - no side effects. I got a little more chirp outta the tires, but no "seat of the pants" go-go. If you aren't doing a blower any time soon (too bad for you, but back to cars), it's free HP and shouldn't cause any problems unless you are running a high end stereo. You might even get another 0.5 mpg.

As for installation, the alternator requires an impact gun to remove the pulley nut and the crank requires a gear puller. If you have those, you will be fine. If not, take the car and the parts along with a 12-pack to a friend who does.

Pullies won't actually "boost" horsepower. Rather, they just free up horsepower your engine is already making....ie. reduces parasitic loss.
