Easy mod. First time, probably no more than two hours, probably less. If you are familiar with engines/cars, shouldn't take more than 45 to an hour. Steeda is pretty much the selection around here from what I saw when I looked into it. Maybe will boost you 5-10hp. After C&L intake, JBA long tubes and 4.10's, I figured the underdrive was mandated. LOL.

I had a Steeda set on my 2000 S2 and they were fine - no side effects. I got a little more chirp outta the tires, but no "seat of the pants" go-go. If you aren't doing a blower any time soon (too bad for you, but back to cars), it's free HP and shouldn't cause any problems unless you are running a high end stereo. You might even get another 0.5 mpg.
As for installation, the alternator requires an impact gun to remove the pulley nut and the crank requires a gear puller. If you have those, you will be fine. If not, take the car and the parts along with a 12-pack to a friend who does.
