Tinting the quarter window w/ louvers

Hey all,

So I have an appointment on Friday to get my windows tinted. I was kinda wanting to get the rear quarter windows tinted. However, I have the Roush louvers. I took them off for the first time this last weekend to clean the windows. I noticed that the anchors for the louvers are a strip of metal attached to the car and the window. From what I understand about window tinting is that they remove any windows that don't roll down to tint them, is this correct? Has anyone had the tint shop tint their quarter windows when they had the Roush louvers? If so, did they remove the anchors or did you? How about putting them back on, did you do it, or did they? Did they do a good job (ie, straight, no gaps between the car and louvers, etc)?

Thanks,

-R

Unless you are going to a really strange tint shop, they will NOT remove the windows. Since the tint goes on the inside of the glass, you will not even have to take your louvers off. This will all be done with the glass in place.

At most your tint guy may remove the louvers to cut a template. Easier than the back seat, but that's it. They are just screwed in in any event. No windwo removal necessary.
