Exclamation New TSB for hesitation

For those of you that have experienced the famous "bog" or hesitation after a drive at the same speeds for a while (like me,) here's the new TSB for the fix that just came out. I can't belive Ford isn't doing a recall on this considering the safety issues with this. I've had mine almost stall a few times coming out of a toll plaza. Hope it helps.

HESITATION ON ACCELERATION AFTER LONG
TSB 06-9-9
CRUISE
FORD:
2005-2006 Mustang
ISSUE
Some 2005-2006 Mustangs may exhibit a hesitation
on acceleration after a long cruise. After coming to
a stop from a highway type cruise, some vehicles
may experience a hesitation when the customer
begins to accelerate. Air bubbles can form around
the fuel pump during a long cruise and be ingested
into the pump on acceleration causing a hesitation.

TK - any Ford dealer can do it. Keep in mind it's not a recall, so you have to mention the specific TSB # and issue.

Hope your Ford dealers are more Roush friendly than mine. The first one I took it to refused to work on the tranny b/c it was a Roush?? How ridiculous is that?? It's a Sport to boot!!! Of course, my local Roush dealers are not much better here in Orlando. I'll have to see if there are any dealers in the Daytona Beach area. Guess there's a reason Ford stopped running the "Ford, where quality is job one," commercials. LOL.

I had the same problem with my 05 Sport before I lemon lawed it for an 07 S2. The dealer had no clue what it was and could never duplicate it since they were not gonna take it for an 85 mile cruise (the distance for me to go one way to work).

The 07 does not have that problem but now suffers from what I heard, is a detuned computer setting on the Spanish Oak Card for warranty reasons. The 05 did not have that problem and would smoke the 07 I now have off the line any day of the week. I can't wait til I put a cold air kit on and flash the card to see if that resolves the problem. BTW the dealer told me my new problem is due to the drive-by-wire throttle and that ALL mustangs have this delay or lag during acceleration. Funny how I have driven more than 10 different Ford Mustang 05-07 GT's, all five speeds, and not one of them hesitated during initial acceleration.

I am just glad we have this forum to bring these problems out in the open and have second opinions and ideas on how to fix these problems. Thank You Rangers Fan. You are not alone with that problem.
