Yes they did when you had the shoc undone. Make sure you undo the brake line from the frame so you don'r break it first before you lower the rear end .

did the rear springs just slide out?

Great information and pictures. Did you need to get the front end realigned?

I took it into the align shop and every thinng was ok. Did not have to adj. anything.
