Body Damage on the ROUSH

Well I was on my way home from my first Mustang club meeting cruising down the freeway and BAM... Right over a blown Semi-Truck Tire. It scratched up the bumper and chin spoiler and broke out the Foglight. It also broke the mounts for the foglight. and I lost the whole assembly on the freeway.

I am hoping that I can get the Passanger fog light assembly and get it to work without having to change out the whole bumper.

Please help me out with any advice. My car has only 700 miles on it, and now this... IT SUCKS.

That really sucks bro. I have driven on some nice country roads and darn near took out a raccoon, ground hog and a squirrel. The worst was when a deer came out of a ravine headed for the front of the Roush. Slammed the brakes and came to quick stop and the deer jumped over the car diagonally and his hooves cleared, ....by this much [ ] Hope you can get it fixed soon.

Sorry to hear... I just got my baby back from paint because of my um, parents... wish I had 2 spots at my condo to keep both cars all the time...

Ok, back to the situation. Without seeing photos, you can just replace the fog assembly along with a lil bit of paint work... no biggy - I know it sucks... but you are ok (other than the mental damage it has done!) good luck! Let us know if we can help!

Been there. Once I get back my car from the Roushcharger install, it's off to paint and repair from a meeting with a floor tile on I-95

just get use to it.

1) we drive cars that are low, so thescrapes will get to you after a while, 2) we drive cars that ALOT of ppl dont know what a "rooosh" is anyway that it only looks good, so kids may aim a cart at it etc.

heres my suggestion to you. some may agree some may not. but it is what it is. Find your local body shop that you can trust. ( for me this is Custom Auto ) and make friends with them ( been friends over 15 yr , never had a car that was worth there labor rate before ) , maybe bring pizza a beer on a friday ( when you dont NEED work done )

I have a 03, I have alot of ppl ask me what year it is. theres no scratches, dings , dents, 98 % of the time its clean , ill drive it with a chance of rain , why... NOT because i keep it in a garage undercover, towed to shows etc, Its because we all bought a car that DEMAND ALOT more attention then the buick skylark.

It sucks that you ran over a broken tire, these things are going to happen , im sure if you could have avoided it you would have. Having a body shop that you know and LIKE and trust is a key ( at least it is for me ) get to know Bill and ethan at stage 3 ( yea I know ppl have said bad things about them, I have ALWAYS had GREAT experiences with them. and have recommended them several times )

Expect to spend money on the roush, I autocross, drag, and show my car at least once a week. there have been times when i got over enthused and hit a few cones , you'll never see the marks ( which amazes some ppl ) even Jack at sayville when i told him i beat this car like a red headed stepchild.

Like everyone has said , If you truely want to enjoy your car ( and its not going to be a garage queen) , find a GOOD TRUSTWORTH Body shop as stupid as that my sound , theres 2 ppl on this board that drove a distance to get work done by mine, ( now thiers)

It Costs To Own A Roush.

Glad ya didnt lose control and get hurt. thats the main thing

Well I have ordered the new foglight from Ethan at Stage3. He was very cool talked to him for about 15-20 mins. Gave me a good deal, and got some answers on prices for other goodies.

At this point I think getting the foglight abck in will be good. The little bit of actual paint damage will be touched up by the Ford Touch-up guy. He already fixed a chip in the front bumper where it meets the fender, and he did a good job. I figure there is no point in doing a full repaint at this point becuase of all those chips and dings.

These photos are after I cleaned off all the rubber marks. you can see the foglight is gone, and the side peice tape is lose (easy fix). There are two chips and some cracking (it's hard to see in these photos) on the chin Spoiler. All in all i made out fair for hitting a big chunk of rubber. If the fog light would not have fallen out would have been much better. I will not be remounting it the cheesy way Roush did.
