Loud vibrations from exhaust during warm up

Each morning, I notice when starting up in the garage, that there is a lot of noise (sounds like the exhaust is rattling) while backing out (easing the clutch out). The sales guy at the original test drive said, "Oh that's just the pipes warming up".
This is a brand new car...anyone else have this? Does something need fixing?

That to me doesn't sound normal. I'd take it back to the dealership and have them look it over. Maybe something lossened up along the way.

Sounds normal for a salesman though. I agree with family man.

I had the same problem the first week. One of the tips or hangers on the mufler was loose. The service department fixed it while I waited and a year later, no problems.

I'd say mine does that too, but they rattle everything when I start it up. My neighbors just love it when I come rolling out of the alley at 6am with close to no mufflers at all.

I think some of that is in the tranny as well. Mine does it even after it warms up backing in the garage, easing the clutch out.

I had my exhaust mounted very close to the undercarriage to try and get some extra clearance. It was so close, the pipes would rattle against the car; so I attached a piece of rubber to the pipe with epoxy and took care of the problem. It's amazing how much difference an extra 1/2 inch makes....said the debutante

Mine was doing the same thing, as soon as one side was fixed, the other started. It was simply loose hangers on the exhaust. I also found when fixing this that there was a wire hanging down onto the driver side exhaust that was being melted. The wire was zip tied and the hanger fixed. All is well.
