shelby

I went to the car show at the beach last night got my first look of the new Shelby.Aside from a much nicer steering wheel and the look of a 5.4 crammed under the hood i wasnt really impressed. The biggest turn-off was the fact that the back of the car sits about three inches higher than my stage 1 it looked hideous. At 20k over sticker you could buy a roush and do alot of tuning. I would have took pictures but i got there late and it was dark ill see if he shows up next week

As much as I like the idea of an 07 Shelby, and the 5.4 liter engine. I would definately rather sink the money into a project like buying a new Mustang and throwing the whole FRPP or Roush catalog at them. Or a mixture of many things. It's just sooooooo overpriced.

I actually love the look of the new shelby except for the rims, it just looks like a muscle car and mean when it is coming at yaand going away from ya. But I just couldn't wait and wasn't going to pay 20 over invoice which should come down now since it's been released that they are making 8,000 of them each year for the next 5 years. But I'm and older person that can remember when the orginal ones came out and the new one remembers me of the 67 model bigtime which happens to be my favorite mustang of all time. Plus even though I love th elook of my stage 3 and besides the roush mustangs I've never been a huge fan of ground affects. Actually roush's ground affects are the only ground affects I have ever liked.

I'm haven't been a fan of the rims on any of the new body style mustangs except for the roush rims. I think the all th v6 , Gt and shelby rims are ugly as hell

Today I got to look at a 2007 SHELBY.It was black with silver stripes owned by someone in Idaho.A friend of mine asked him to come to our club potluck (EATS).I liked the looks of the nose, hood, and the big 5.4 with a Huffer. But when it came to the inside of the car, ROUSH has it nailed. The out side overall, was not as BANG BAD A$$ as I expected it.It wasn't very rumbly, or as powerful sounding as one might think.I would have to say my choice would be go for the ROUSH STAGE 3.YOU GET IT ALL, AND POWER UPGRADES ARE AVALIBLE SOON...The SHELBY, I would say all the money went to the Engine, Trans, and Name...

20K over sticker Try 40 at Galpin Ford in California. They called me 2 weeks ago to go check out number ..0030 and ..0060. The sticker on the window displayed 42K and the dealer won't look @ an offer under 80K. These people are crazy. Shelby name + 5.4 motor for 40K ....

Cool new Shelby GT500 versus Roush stage 3

Recent test drive of a stage 3 in Motor Trend, compared to Car& Driver test of Shelby , indicated that the Shelby was faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile, BUT,the Roush was quicker on the race-track.....don't remember what the rear-end gears were, but FRPP catalog shows 4.10's are available if you want the acceleration. And, lets face facts: 90% of those Shelbys are going to be "Garage Queens" ,having less than 1000 miles on 'em when they get offerred for auction in 10 years. yes I am, michael.

My friend just got his Shelby (White w/blue stripes).
I wasn't impressed. The outside looked plain and the interior was that of a GT.
Plain plain plain!
Roush has it beat all the way!

I guess it is all who you know but I have a friend who paid just around $45000 for his Shelby and I don't remember seeing a new Stage 3 for that price locally. The only one I have seen is about $60,000. I think I would take the Shelby for the money and still be able to kick a little...besides I really liked the look and sound of the new Shelby. I guess it all boils down to personal preference and what you are looking for.
