Indicator Lense Mod

After waiting over a month for one company to send these to me, I canceled my order with them and re-ordered from Jegg's. Had them in two days and only paid $0.09 more for them. Here's the before and after. What do you think??

Before

After

I agree. That subtle change is one of the best I have seen. I have an '05 in silver as well and I am going to have to make that my next mod. On another note, let me get an opinion. The chin spoiler on mine keeps picking up small chips from rocks and such. I had it removed and painted last year by the local Ford dealer and all the little chips and nicks are back again. How do you think the chin spoiler only would look in a flat black (like the old Boss models)? The chips, nicks and scratches would be less noticeable. Keep in mind that I have a black scoop, dark window tint and black rims. It would keep with the silver and black I've been shooting for. Thoughts?

Sure it is! Just buy bulbs from silverbulbs.com and drive with your parking lights on all the time. The lense kit comes with two amber side reflectors your are suppose to double face tape to the fenders (yeah, right!). If the cops start to hassle me, I'll make a plastic bracket I can slip between the fender wall and fender that I can easily remove at car shows. I don't drive my car that much so I'm not too worried about it. Don't have a front plate either! And, I wonder what a cop will say when I hit the brakes and they see my sequential taillights. My opinion is, unless you are out looking for trouble, the cops won't bother you with this type of stuff. I'll post a copy of a ticket if I get one.

Edit: I see you're from Kali, now I get it! Tell Ponch & John I said hi!

If a cop bugs you for that, they are bored, or looking for a reason.

I have clear corners on the 98 Gt with Amber bulbs, no issues yet. And I give them plenty of probable cause...lol

I think that looks perfect. the silver car and clear fogs and headlights makes them dissapear.

I also recommend silverbulbs.com so you don't get that fried egg look. Search on my other threads on this subject for the P/N's.

I'd find someone that's good at Photoshop so you could try out your idea.

Can someone explain why it is not DOT legal? Every thing I have ever read reads that turn signals can be either amber, or white in the front and amber or red in the rear....So at least in AZ you would be okay....

From the Arizona Revised Statues:

28-947. Special restrictions on lamps
...
o D. A vehicle may have lamps that may be used to warn the operators of other vehicles of the presence of a vehicular traffic hazard requiring the exercise of unusual care in approaching, overtaking or passing. The vehicle may display these lamps as a warning in addition to any other warning signals required by this article. The lamps used to display the warning to the front shall be mounted at the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and shall display simultaneously flashing white or amber lights or any shade of color between white and amber. The lamps used to display the warning to the rear shall be mounted at the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and shall show simultaneously flashing amber or red lights or any shade of color between amber and red. These warning lights shall be visible from a distance of at least one thousand five hundred feet under normal atmospheric conditions at night.
