Front seat cover keeps coming off frame

Anyone had a problem with the front of the seat cover coming off the frame? Both of my seats keep doing it, I can stretch it back down onto the frame where it should be; but after getting in and out of the car a couple of times it comes back off

Others have had this issue. You might try the search function as I believe there was some ideas for the fix. Seems like a warranty issue, D

Screws thats the way...I fixed mine but its tricky, you may want a shop fix so if they mess up, there warrenty(ask shop on it to be sure) will cover it. Just came as a simple fix poor design when weight is applied to the seat.

I would be worried about the cover ripping with this "fix". If you screw it, and then weight is applied and it tries to slide off, I would think it would just rip off since the leather wouldn't have enough strength to support your body weight like that.
How is it holding up?

Good point I forgot a big part here.I used Upholstery screws and they have a washer type part that keeps the screw from pulling through the leather.Plus you need to drill through the plastic clip that the material is stiched to.This way there is no way it can pull out cause the material and the clip are really screwed to the metal part of the seat.Very hard to show but it works and look under or pull seat and fix.I have had no problums since I've owned my car from Early 2005(new).Hope it helps .Make sure that you make it through leather ,plastic ,and metal for good fix.It takes 2 screws on each seat.

I am on my second set of seat bottoms. The first ones that I had were too tight but the ones I have now aren't. They still come off though. I agree that is a poor design.

Thumbs up Seat Bottoms

I had the same issue when I picked the car up from the dealership. They did the fix and no trouble since. (keeping fingers crossed now)

Just looked at my month old 2006 Stage 1...

Both of my seat covers are coming off. Guess I'll have to take it in for some work. Also two of my screws holding my front chin spoiler are missing on the passenger side

LOOSE SEAT CUSHION COVER TRIM ON FRONT OF
FRONT SEAT

TSB 05-19-10

FORD:2005 Mustang

This article supersedes TSB 05-17-14 to update the Service Procedure.

ISSUE
Some 2005 Mustangs built before 5/10/2005 may exhibit the seat cushion cover front trim being loose on the front seat. The J-clip that holds the seat cushion cover trim to the front of the seat pan may not be fully engaging the flanges (slots) in the seat pan.

ACTION
Bend the four (4) seat pan flanges to allow proper engagement of the seat cover trim J-clips. Refer to the following Service Procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Pull back the seat cushion cover trim and foam to access the (4) flanges in the seat pan (Figure 1).

NOTE
FIGURES 1 AND 2 ONLY SHOW TWO (2) OF THE SEAT PAN FLANGES, THERE ARE FOUR (4) IN TOTAL.

Figure 1.
(I cannot attach the figures)

2. Using a needle nose pliers, bend the inside lip of the four (4) flanges toward the rear of the seat, to open the flange slightly. Use a dime to gauge the new opening (Figure 2). The dime should fit tightly when pushed into the adjusted flange opening.

Figure 2.
(I cannot attach the figures)

3. Reattach the seat cushion cover trim J-clip (they should snap into place). Pull slightly to check retention.

This still did not work. I had mine fixed under warranty by Classic Soft Trim. They make the seat covers for Roush. Screws are the only PERMANENT FIX. The seats do need to be removed for the fix.
