Some install pics and rained out woodward DUW

Well after dropping some major coin for Woodward cruise, it obviously was a bigger bust this year then last. But in any event.
I was able to get the following components installed this weekend on the stang.

- H&R front and rear coil over kit
- Bassani Cat back exhuast system
- Cobra R2000 FHE hood
- Baer Extreme Plus brake system with 14" rear rotors and hawk pads.
- SOME of our turbo kit
- BBS RS-GT's 19 by 8.5 and 10
- BFG Gforce KDW NT's.

Unfortunately in a mad scramble to ge things ready for the show I didn't document as much of the installs as I wanted but I can say that through the installs of these components it was a great deal easier then say previous year mustangs I have worked on.

The H&R system was straight forward and pretty easy to install, took only a few hours.
While no directions were supplied with our kit, it appeared to be pretty cut and dry.

The Bassani Cat back was also fairly simple and was done in 30 minutes though I found this HIGHLY disturbing view of the stock exhaust system as it was going over the pan hard bar.

The hood of course was easy to, and just within 30 minutes of driving I could see the excessive amount of heat built up from the engine pouring out of the vents. I did have to take the hood back off because the painter apparently (obviously) did not come close to matching the paint work on the vehicle.

The Baer brake kit was massive, I mean just huge calipers. The kit itself was also fairly easy to install with little issues with the exception of actually bleeding the brakes. But I have mastered the 1 man new brake install bleed so it the install was a few hours itself and was pretty easy.

I would like to give a special life saving prop's to BFG for handling last minute tiring issues with just some awesome tires.

I tried to get the turbo kit installed for Woodward but several components didn't make it from the R&D facility back to MI in time so the kit was incomplete for Woodward.
I've included several pics here but should have some more comprehensive and cleaner photos by the end of the day.

Now if your wondering about this picture of the exhaust, what I found was ford purposely pancakes the exhaust right over the pan hard bar to allow clearance. But of course this isn't done in any graceful way.

What does the H&R front and rear coil over kit provide over stock? I like those massive brakes, did you shop these out online?

Nice car. I like the wheels/brakes especially and H&R makes nice stuff. Don't really care for that hood and I've yet to see a turbo kit that is clean enough for me. I can't see enough of that one to make a full assessment though. Looks like you're having fun with it. Do you know what those wheels weigh?

Looks great! I think you might need some bigger brakes though!

Ahh lots of questions....

Wheel weight is around 20lb per wheel for the 19X8.5 and 21lbs for the 19X10
I had to spend several weeks coordinating between BBS. Baer and BFG for this package. As you can see the wheel clearnace are very tight with the brakes so I had to use this specific rim and had to go from my traditional 18's to a 19. This of course has rendered my complete stock of BFG tires usless now.

The H&R kit provides a .75 all the way to a 2" drop. I mean you can really slam this thing if you wanted. If you notice I pretty much have the coil overs jacked up and yet the vehicle still sitting on the ground. The rears barly clear the fender well. But so far no issues.

We have single and twin tubo's in the making. The twin looks like its going to be much simper to install then the single.

And the hood is very fucntional. Just driving up to woodward last weekend I could just see the heat pouring out. Also a couple of quick races out by Detroit airport on french road proved that hood is very stable. Plus it provides great clearance for any aftermarket SC or turbo option.
