My New 2007 Stage 2

The first pictures are of my 05 Sport which I had nothing but problems with. Over 60 days at the Ford dealer in just the first year of service.

The 07 has about 1300 miles on it now and the only complaint I have is a noisy short throw shifter at certain rpms in 2nd gear. My temporary solution is putting pressure on the shifter when it is in second gear.

I also notice a little lag-delay when I nail the accelerator on the 07 compared to the 05...Wonder if a reflash would help?

The 07 has some extra goodies...

Leather On - Instrument Panel Brow/Center Arm Rest/Side Arm Rests/Steering Wheel--These might not sound great to many of you but my 05 had that same plastic steering wheel material as the door panels. Real classy, let me tell ya.

Aux port for IPOD

Sirius Radio--First 6-Months are freebie months by the way

New Roush door sill trim

Tool Kit

Shorty Antenna which is not shown in the picture

Also have the Roush pedals but they are not installed. Ford has a nice upgraded pedal package. I am gonna wait for a while before I have them installed. Have to drill through the existing pedals to install the Roush pedals.

I have the upgraded Ford Instrument cluster. I did away with the optional Roush cluster since many of those days in the Dealer's shop with my 05 was for the electroluminescent gauge Roush provides. The new gauge has a computer to show MPG...Helps me slow down and save gas, yeah right.

Not sure if the 06's had the advanced airbags but the 07's now have em.

I promised myself I would never own another black car. Well after touring the Roush Factory in Livonia, MI last year and seeing a freshly done black one, well I just had to get it.

did your stage2 come with that silver shifter bezel, or did you put in on after?
the rattle you hear is normal on a roush shifter, almost everyone has it. wow you got alot of goodies with your stage2. very nice. IUP instead of the carbon fiber looks much better imo.

The bezel is the new Roush look when you go with the silver upgraded Ford interior. I also got tired of the carbon fiber look on my 05 and was glad Ford and Roush were able to make a brighter interior to go along with the silver stripes on the exterior.

I see you are also a night owl like me. We need to learn to get normal hours of sleep!

Thanks for the replies. I put major miles on hi-ways at a good click, wish me luck on keeping the front end looking sharp. I hate those high speed rocks and nicks.

Whoops, I haven't been on the site much lately, must have missed that one. Just asking cause I raced a black stage 1 on the highway last week, and it looked familiar.

Very Nice

I too, have had my fun with working with dealership "experts". My black Stage 2 sat on the lot for a while and when delivery was made it needed new stripes (water spots), seats, all of the pilferable items dealers remove so winners don't swipe.

The more I learn from this site - I make "useful suggestions" and get results.

If I spend that much money on a major part of my daily activity....I would like to opportunity to have it done right.

So far, new graphics, windshield banner, seats, sealant and a service guy whom I now have on speed dial.
