Wiring ?'s

HELP!!!! I installed a new stereo yesterday and it has 2 leads looking for the foot brake lead and parking brake lead. I hooked up to what I thought were the right leads but apparently they were not. Has anyone done this before? The head unit has a DVD player and it wont play videos until it's connected right.

Not sure where those wires are, however, if you can figure out what those leads are looking for, ie., voltage or ground, you could jumper them to an alternate source. If you do wire directly to one of the brake leads, the DVD player will only work when the brakes are applied, or parking brake is engaged.
Its a safety feature and usually mandated by some state laws. That way some fool isnt watching "Dumb and Dumber" while being dumb and dumber.

Good Call. Run the power to a blank fuse on the passenger side

I have the pac tr-7 for the bypass, on some other forums I've learned that you can connect the two wires mentioned above, directly to it and not to anything else on the car.
