So what are S3's and 427R's going for?

What are the current prices for these bad boys? Just curious. My Stage3 in 01 was $54,000+tax.

I see GT500's at local dealers are selling between $48,000 and $60,000. Rumor has it in 08 there will be a GT500KR edition out for around $80,000-$90,000. It better come with a test drive w. Shellby himself!

I think I remember seeing that the 427r's are going to be around 47-48k.

Pricing for the 427 should come in slightly less than a Stage 3 depending on how it is equipped.

damn i thought they were gonna drop a Roush 427 the way the article looked.
8hp with different tune and exhaust.
imo not into the stripes......
but if the big block ever found its way into the engine bay

Personally, I think the 427R is a joke!! Like the article said, in these days of 500HP Mustangs, Roush improved with a "spicier" 427R, that's a 10HP+ increase from a Stage3, a whole whopping 10HP+. That should put the scare into the Saleen E, Steeda Q, GT500, etc... Yes these Mustangs are pricey, but if you are gonna built a Man Racer then built a Man Racer, not a Boy Racer. You already have the Stage3, why not take it to the next level?? Built something to set it apart from the Stage3. A good example is the Chevy Z06, 500HP isn't good anymore for a supercar, so what do they do, they are coming out with a Z07 with about 605HP+, wider, lower, and just badder. Saleen wanted to set itself from the S281, so they came out with the E, its pricey but it does its job, setting itself apart from other Mustangs.

i love my S3, but honestly, the day i am looking to pay $80k for a modified mustang is the same day i am also looking at porsche's, vipers, and other cars that when you say the name an explaination doesn't need to justify the price. thats my .02

I agree RickRoush, but screw porsche's and vipers... I'd get a ZO6 Vette for that price.
