Roush Upgreades/Power Increases

Well I am going to be doing a Roush S/C on my car I have already decided that but what I have not found (after searching both here and a few other forums) is if there are any ways to increase the power out of the Roush above the box setup.

edit:
Well I did find on Modular Fords that one shop has one running 420whp but is there anything more than this yet? I know this would void the warranty but I am thinking more in line with 2.5yrs and 30K mi from now when that warranty would not exist anyway.

Rods are only good to 450 HP at the crank. there is plenty of banter on this site concerning going above 400 HP. Probably the biggest subject here.

SEARCH function.......and ye shall find

I did do a search but most of what I found was that 400hp mark debate, there was a bit on some older posts one where someone did change out the pully but it made so much heat the timing had to he adjusted and thus lost most of the gain.

I was just not sure if anyone had done or heard of anything since. After posting here I found one on ModularFords.com (posted the link above) but that is all I have really found.

The problem with the Roushcharger is, even though it can get 420RWHP, it is HIGHLY inefficient compared to the competion like Kenne Bell, Saleen, & Whipple. We just put a Saleen blower on my car with the Saleen's 475HP Kit which includes a 6PSI pulley, 39LB injectors, and a 98MM Air Box and it dyno'd at 410RWHP with Saleen ultra-conservative tune. With a much better tune 450RWHP is no problem @ 8PSI.

The Roushcharger is good if you wanna use it as it is and match up the blower to your Roush. BUT, if you want something more upgradable in the future.. I would suggest you look at a different blower. Since you have a Roush I would recommend you look at KB or Whipple if you are going to upgrade it in the future. You'll be alot happier with a KB or Whipple than a Roush in the future.

+2 on what he said

Also, it's all in the tune that makes or breaks your block. My stock shortblock has over 12,000 miles at 440rwhp with my set up and everything is fine. With exception to idle and part throttle in lower rpms your A/F ratio should be between 11-12. Mine is 11.5 for most of the power band and my tune is for 93 octane.

It's not always power that will blow it, take a 4.6 SOHC making 330rwhp on a crappy tune all maxed out on the verge of detonation and see how long it lasts.

No to mention boost, sure, go ahead and run 12psi on stock head gaskets and see how soon your head gasket blows a chunk off

Good luck, you should be able to see 450rwhp (with a '05+) no problem on pump gas with exhaust mods and a safe tune.
