final decision on wheels!

i planned on getting american racing's muscle razor wheels in 20" ...

unfortunately they don't have chrome in 20"—only grey with machined lip and also only 20x9", no 20x10"

so, i decided on these instead—american racing's rogue in 20"

i'd like to get 20x10" in the back and 20x8.5" in the front, and BFGoodrich KDW's 295-40-20's in the back and 255-35-20's in the front.

any thoughts? will this wheel/tire combo work?

thanks guys!

Those look sweet! 295/40's will be alittle tall, you might need to correct the speedo. Check this link out for sizes http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

I ordered these last night, they are replicas of the Foose Nitrous. They are 20x8.5 front with Toyo Proxes4 255/35/20 and 20x10 with Toyo Proxes4 295/30/20 rear. I paid $1799 delivered, all I have to is get them mounted. If you're interested they are from www.wheelreplicas.com, call and ask for Greg and tell them Mike referred you.

Not trying to highjack your thread, just passing along some info that could save you some $$.

haha, so i should go 295/35/40? i'm having trouble finding matching tires to accomodate the staggered wheels

is 315/35/40 too wide for a 10" wheel?

should i go 30/20 instead of 35/20? i'm always confused by this

Try 235-35-20 fronts(8.5x20 rims) and 275-35-20 rears(10x20 rims) worked for me.

BFG makes 285/30/20 and 255/35/20, these would be the perfect fit, both in width and diameter. See this http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...-a-kdw/22.html

so going 285/30 in the back and 255/35 in the front wouldn't look strange? i always thought you needed the taller tire in the back not vice versa

They will be almost the same heights, here is how you figure it:

width x aspect ratio = sidewall height.
sidewall height x 2, convert to inches by dividing by 25.4
sidewall heights + wheel diameter = overall diameter

285 x .30 = 85.5
85.5 x 2 = 171, 171/25.4 = 6.73"
6.73" + 20" = 26.73"

255 x .35 = 89.25
89.25 x 2 = 178.5, 178.5/25.4 = 7.03
7.03 + 20 = 27.03

there is only .3" diff between the two.

Do yourself a favor and use the link I noted above for the tire size calculator, it will save you alot of time and headaches.

No problem, anytime. Make sure you let us know which ones you end up getting.

I know getting matching sets of tires is a pain. It sometimes limits your choices in tire widths or manufacturers.

I looked at a Foose Mustang the other week and it had 275/35/20s on the rear and 245/40/20s on the front. Seemed like a nice combo.
