Paint Roush Strut Tower Brace?

Okay,

So I'm getting ready to order my Strut Tower Brace from Stage 3 but now I've found out that all of the Braces come powder coated silver. Does anyone have a photo of one of these installed this color or does everyone repaint them?

I painted mine with a high temp satin black....it matched the finish of the Roushcharger perfectly. Make sure you let it dry thoroughly before installing. I thought mine was dry enough after a day, but the hood liner just touched the top of the brace and a few fibers stuck to a spot where the paint was evidently not 100% cured. I had to take it off and shoot it again.

I don't have a photo of the gray, I know there is a couple guys that left that. I did paint mine to match the car, but yours is Gray. I would check it out and see how close it is to your color. It may be a great match.

I'm looking through pics now. Vicki left her strut tower brace the grey color from Roush. I have a partial pic of the color for you to compare.

You may want to PM Vicki, she probably has a better picture!!

Thanks guys. That grey may match mine well enough. I just really hate to mess with a good powder coating.

I'll have to get a nice "ROUSH" sticker like this though. That is a nice touch.

I took a quick shot of mine for ya....not sure why, but the flash seemed to wash out the Roushcharger....believe me, the strut tower brace matches the Roushcharger much better than the photo shows. I used a satin black.

Car is at Nevarez, nice. I had my car dynoed there. They are great. if I ever do a s/c swap or anything they are doing it. When I get a custom tune, they will be doing that as well.

I had mine powder coated! Local guy here in Murfreesboro did it for $40. I had it done red to match my calipers
I just got it back today and it looks great, I will post pics after the install this week sometime!

We've got a company in the Cincinnati area that does the black chrome and powder coating process. I think the powder coating would look the best. Been thinking of getting the brace, but it keeps getting "bumped" on my list of things to do. I think it's back to #1 on the list now, unless Roush comes out with their SC CAI real soon.

Well, I did call Bill and buy the Strut Brace. I think I'll put it on and see what I think about the color compared to the car.

I think the silver looks good on the black car......But man, I love the color matched brace on the bright colored cars. That looks awesome.

Doesn't anyone make a strut towers brace that's not so, BIG and bulky?

I hate to say it, but when with that brace on there, it takes your eyes away from the best looking thing in the engine compartment, the Roushcharger.
