Any body install FRPP Hot rod cams and long tubes????

I am strongly considering installing the new FRPP cams as well as Bassini or Kooks long tubes. Has anybody had either installed? If yes, are you satisfied with the results? I have seen many on YouTube although none were supercharged? I am also wanting to keep as much as the "Factory Roush Exhaust" and was wondering since the headers are longer then the manifolds I guess I will only be left with the cat back right?

This will be a winter project although I would like to order the cams now since they are on back order for 1-2 months?

Please give me as much feed back as possible since I don't want to go threw all of this just to be regretfull.

I also understand the long tubes are a pain in the ass to install is that correct?

I have the FRPP cams installed. I have the standard exhaust plus the off-roads. The cam's are awesome. I am completely satisfied with the results.

I am running the FRPP cams as well with a Bassani X and Roush O/R's and a custom tune. The combo puts down great power to the rear wheels as the only mods. 439rwhp and 386rwtq. Its a strange spread between the peak power and torque but the guy that did the dyno said it could be the cams and I could probably make it up by cranking the boost up a bit. Anyone have ideas on that?

Did you do the cams yourself?

Spanky,

Give DaSilva Racing a call and talk to Joe. He can do the work for you and is a great guy. I was there on Friday getting my car dynoed and I asked him the very same questions you did here. They are located in Pickering. Brock Rd./401

You can always go with our BBR stage 1 or 2 camshafts. They will give you great horsepower and torque across the boards. As for longtubes, I would recommend American Racing Headers. They have incredible fitment and sound. Plus they are much cheaper than KOOKS.

Spanky, are you going to keep the headers & X or H pipe the same brand. It's probably a good idea. Can you run off-roads (cattless) exhaust in Canada?

You gonna love the sound coming from those cams!

+1 on ARH. I have their long tubes and catted x pipe. Quality and fit is superb, not to mention what I picked up on the dyno

Question for those of you who have have installed different cams or have experience with them. How many miles per gallon did you lose. What is your current MPG.

Thanks
