pulley upgrade

hey guys,
just trying to help a friend here with his stage 3. now i know roush built 2 styles of pullies. and the 2007's and early 2008's dont have the pulley upgrade 445hp. im guessing thats 6-7psi right?
well we're looking for the 8-9psi pulley. doesnt roush make these? i know bbr does, but he's fighting a warrenty issue too. doesnt want to void it.
how can he get more boost out of his stage 3/auto.

what roush's part number for smallest pulley?
thanks guys im sure fnsweet as many of answers for me. everyones input welcome.

Roush does not make the 2.57 pulley. To do this will void that warrany and require a custom tune.

The smaller Roush pulley really isn't 6-7 psi more like 4-5 maybe 6.

Personally I bought the smaller Roush pulley, got about 7rwhp from it and it's not worth the money. Either wait till the warranty is up and get the 2.57 or just do it now.

If warranty is something he's worried about and if 415hp is what he's pushing then you might want to check this out.

So is 73 not the same as 2.57? I could have swore on my Roush box that mine said the Roush 2.57 pulley. I hope so, I told JDM I had that pulley on the car for the tune he was making me. Oh great. That is using that aftermarket Roush kit they advertised. Should I get a diff pulley then from BBR or something??

The 73mm pulley is actually 2.81" which is the Roush upgrade size. The 2.57" pulley is 65mm.

ummm, yeah, I would call JDM or just buy a 2.57 pulley. i don;t think that little bit of difference is going to kill your car, but your tune will be set for a bit more boost than you will see. might run rich wouldn;t it?!?!

Well even with the roush pulley being a 73mm and ours being a 66mm i think you'll be fine. The tune is pretty good with a small change in boost. Your with in reason and if anything it will at least be safe.

Just buy the 2.57 from Carmen. It looks great and works even better. My car is much better with this upgrade. The Roush pulley is not much of a change.

RoushPony my advice is to get your car dyno'd with the stock pulley as your baseline. Then upgrade to the 2.57 pulley and then re-dyno the car. I wouldn't get wrapped up on the psi to much only if your car is totaly stock will it see the advertised psi, however as I have learned that as soon as I changed to long tubes and x-pipe I saw a reduction in psi but picked up more horsepower. The same will be true if you go to a bigger heat exchanger.
