Talking YEAH -First Mods!!

Started on the first mods to the car...Seats & harnesses...since we are headed out to Sears Point this weekend...got most of the parts in last weekend but just now getting around to posting. Car is over at a friends shop getting the harness's mounted, should be done this afternoon. Went with Sparco Pro2000 seats and AutoPower procam 5pts. To bad the passanger seat base is back ordered for 2 weeks, will just have to run with the stock seat for now.

Kinda postponed the tow hooks for now, the last few days have been really busy here at the shop so I have not called them yet. the way yours turned out looks great, so I want to talk to them first, not just hack job a set onto the car. I have fingers crossed that we won't need them this weekend. And to top it off the weather report is calling for a 40% chance of rain on Sat. Oh well, just have to take it easy and pray for traction. On the plus side its a Audi club event, so I hope all those Quattro's will help dry out the track and then move over

You do realize that pictures of cardboard boxes aren't gonna fly here. We need pictures of the real goods. Can't wait to see what those Sparco seats look like. Nice choice. Please post pictures when everything is installed.

The guy who installed our tow hooks is in Ireland right now...he is the one you want to talk with. I will let you know when he returns.

Have a great time this weekend.

Mrs. Supersnake - thanks for finding out about the hooks..

IKandy - Didn't do the seat delete kit yet, but have been looking around for a good one....if anybody has done this yet your ideas would be helpfull.....

And a big shamless plug to Wine Country Motorsports for all the help they gave us in getting the seats ordered and delivered in time for last weekends track event. The Sparco set up fits and worked perfectly in the car and the seat is just awesome for driving support....

Ah, there are a few people on here that have the rear seat delete. The two that come to mind are Mike (FamilyMan) and Dave (Racione).

Here's a thread from Mike: New interior mods today

And here's a pic from Dave's (Racione) gallery:

You may want to PM them if they don't chime in on this thread.

We were thinking about taking out the seats of the Track Pak but were told that the backseat delete kits weighs a whole lot more than the actually back seats.

I had put 5 point belts in another car I had. I found them to be impractable for use around town. When I had them properly cinched down, I couldn't reach anything on the dash. They are obviously important for racing and they look neat but I won't put them in a street car again.
