Twin Turbo Roush UPDATE

Here is the latest update on our 2007 Twin Turbo Stage 3 Roush shop project.

BBR 5.0L Stroker Short Block
BBR Stage II 3 Valve Camshafts
BBR CNC Ported 3 Valve Heads
THP Twin 61mm Turbo Kit
BBR/BMR Full Suspension Upgrade
TR-6060 6-Speed Transmission Swap
+ Much More

733rwhp / 665 rwtq @ 5500rpm w/ 14 psi.

Waiting on new tubes for the MAFs, the ones that came with the kit are creating too much turbulance and throwing the A/F all over the place. Once that problem is fixed, we are shooting for the 1000 hp mark on full boost.

Johnny,

I spoke to you couple of times during my build of the Classic. I was wondering if you ever got a turbo setup worked out for the 03 body style. I'm looking at doing one and have only found the HP and Hellion Kits. Just wanted to get your opinion.

is that the stock intake just painted. Looks nice either way, I was considering painting mine. The car is sick with 733rwhp. with 1000 it will definately be sick.

I'll have to find out exactly. But there is a good amount. From the stroker shortblock, to the heads, cams, twin turbo kit, 6 speed trans., suspension, fuel system and cosmetics.

This is an incredible car! Thanks for the details.

One tiny thing I noticed is the mod to the hood scoop and hood. Is that a common mod? Seems like a good idea.

Actually, it's not common at all, but very simple.

it allows cool air in the engine compartment as you're driving and allows the hot air out while you're sitting still.

Sounds like someone needs to write up a DIY on it.

+1 on that one. I would love to do that to mine. I wonder if it helps eliminate hood flutter?

We can do a write up on that. We will just have to od it on another hood for the pictures to be included since this one is already done.

It didn't eliminate hood flutter, but it also didn't get worse.
