All I want to know is if anyone can buy the regular chrome ones, why can't I buy the black R badges since I own one?

Well before I did it on my V-6 I asked Jack and Robert B. both said they would not have problem with it and in fact it was featured in a great pic in ROEA's newsletter in July at the Shelby meet as I out drove two Shelby's with my Roush suspension. If Jack Roush thinks it is Roush enough for him then so be it. Besides mine is a 2006 and i Had no option for a V-6 Roush at the time nor did I really know who or what Roush really was, but it was members of FNSWEET that took me in and treated me like gold and for that I will never forget I am just glad I didn't encounter someone as close minded as you or I would have a STEEDA car by now. Instead of one the most amazing handling cars ever built yes I put it together but Jack engineered it so I give him credit for his work. Besides as a disabled vet having had multiple back and knee surgeries from an accident aboard an aircraft carrier maybe you can cut me a little slack and let me enjoy some of the freedoms I fought for like to put whatever the hell I want to on MY CAR.

Agreed!! Besides it being his car and he can do whatever he wants with it. I would think that since he is putting Roush parts on his car, it is good advertisement for Roush. I mean, would you put a Saleen badge on there when you put Roush parts on it..:-) I think if Roush didnt want badges on any other vehicle, he would make it to where we had to send in a proof of purchase and order directly from them.

Thanks for your service Pony!!

I also AGREE!!!! Its your car you do with it as you want to personalize it.

My other half has an 05 gt vert as a daily driver and I installed Roush suspension and Roush wheels as well as other mods and she wants to put Roush emblems on it since meeting JR in june.

PONY thank you for your service from another vet

lol,Hey Mustanger!

Because he is money hungry like anybody else, but just because Roush sells them it still does not mean it is right! Maybe he sells them for real Roush owners that need replacement emblems.

All the respect in the world to you brother. My father served in Nam, so I am sort of a vet too, because I was swimming in his balls while he was in the bush (no pun intended) Still, IMO I don't believe in falsely bading a car. It's just my opinion.

Agree that it's your car and you dress it any way you see fit. Besides, what you pay for these things, you have paid your dues and right to use it.

I just put on the Roush CAI for the V6 and saw a big difference. I haven't put a new tune or anything but did see a noticable difference. I can't wait to see photos of your ride.

Well thanks everyone for their input, the badges are on, and they look amazing. I'll try to put up some pictures tonight, but it is a little embarrising to post pics of V6.

+1 on NOT badging a ride unless that's what it was actually built at...IMO.

HOPE you're happy with the way it turned out and am looking forward to seeing the pics!!!!

I take this as a slap in the face to all the REAL vets here. Who do you think gave you the right to post any asinine thing you want? VETERANS.

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a vet.

PS Tell your dad thank you for me.

Unbelieveable, thats all I am going to say. To whoever wants to, badge away. Even just having a Roush badge means you have supported Roush!!

WOW does it really matter? People do conversions all the time dude (AKA me). It's really not that big of a deal if he puts a roush emblem on there. Why cuz it's not a real roush from "the factory"? Who cares? Doesn't he have the parts that a roush has? See it really doesn't matter dude... Nobody said anything but nice remarks when i did mine and even though it's not a real roush it still holds value becuz the parts on it are so rare now. Don't you think Roush knows that people do conversions? The badges are not just for replacements believe me, if that was the case they would check to see if people had a real roush before they could purchase them.

Are you guys serious about the vet comment???? I guess you don't comprehend jokes, I though swimming in his balls was pretty funny. My Father served in Nam and both grandfathers in WW2, my great uncle was a 1st Lui in the 10th mountain in Euorpe w/ many decorations including the silver star w/oakleaf clusters and my Father's cousin was a Lt. Col who worked in the Pentagon planning the bombing runs on Hanoi. I have the most respect in the world for vets and marvel at there courage under fire. That is also one of the reasons why McCain gets my vote!
