GPfordJoe is at it again..

We all know and love Joe for his encrypted posting abilities. Turns out the guy can build a hell of a car as I have found out in the past. So while I am here in South Africa this month the car is at the dealership. As some of you know, the car had been bent up in the rear quarter on the passenger side by no fault of my own. It was done by someone moving the car that should not have been. So since the body shop has just about finished the car up bringing it back to normal, I figured I would have some mods done. This time the list is including:

1.) JBA Long-tube headers
2.) Long-tube H-pipe with the high flow cats
3.) Roush CAI
4.) 4.10 gears
5.) New tune

Cant wait to get home to see what kind of numbers I make after the mods. Cant wait to hear the damned thing first hand either. Anyone on here have the hot rod cams with long tubes? Just curious as to how it will sound with the Roush o/r's. Thanks again Joe!

Joe, I put on Roush O/R's recently and have mixed feelings. They do sound nice, but the interior noise can be very loud with the windows closed, especially if there is any load on the engine. Don't bother up grading the stereo system.

The off roads can be especially loud under a load. I have had them on for almost the entire time I have owned the car along with a Bassani X-pipe. Seemed the car got even louder when I put the cams in it. It doesnt really bother me, but thats how I got my off roads. It was because someone had them on the car for about 1000 miles and thought they were too loud.

The loud doesnt personally bother me nor my better half, or the kids for that matter. They all seem to love it. So really in this house, the louder the better lol.

Max

Thanks Kandy! I think its just turned into an "arms race" so to speak between myself and cshores lol. I will for sure keep everyone posted on what I pickup from this. I have a new baseline dyno pre-mods so it will be easy to tell.

As far as South Africa, well I am down here for work right now. Its a long time to sit in a hotel room but we are doing our best at going out and doing the photo safaris and tours. Its gorgeous here and the people are awesome. I would love to do a hunt while I am here, but I dont think that will happen. For now, all the fuzzy critters are safe!

Cool! I loved Botswana, and the critters are amazing to see. Definitely post up some pics of your photo safaris.

Nice new mods planned! I was in South Africa a few years back as well, got to stay on a private game reserve over night and get shown around the reserve. It was a blast! Have a great time and be safe, what part of .za are you in?
