Wish we would have went with the 2300 for the power...but would have missed the whine.
Have as much fun as you can with it....I know I would.

I'll get the rest of the story out on this build when I get some time. I have some business travel and will update from the road.

Thanks. I have really enjoyed your posts.

By the way, that's why I asked a few days ago if that tune was kept from the Mager ride. The numbers I got were very good and more importantly than any number...it's a kick in the ass to drive!
It is not even close to the same car...not even close.

Numbers and story to come.

Please bring beer and lawnmowers. We'll have races in the driveway!

Ok. Here is part of the story.

I heard a rumor that 5.0 magazine wanted a story on an upgrade. I connected some dots made some calls and it came together. I paid but got a helluva deal.

The car put down numbers similar to what you have seen here for P51's....some were higher, some were lower. The car was run numerous times to get a feel for overall performance expectations. As you can imagine, people don't want to "over promise and under perform" when offering a product or service. I don't want somebody throwing a lot of money at this upgrade based on me spouting the highest numbers produced.

Bottom line.

If you stand on it in first you are at the limiter in a blink, second is the old first on the BFG's, feather and it will hook. I have had wheel spin well into third. Then it's hook, boom, gone.

Passing cars has never been this much fun.

It seems the sound has gotten deeper and it's louder at WOT. I think some of the drone is gone. My boost gauge is reading in the 12-14 PSI range at WOT.

Here is a better pic of the under hood.

My lovely (and very patient) bride snapped the moving shot.

Not sure what you mean by missing the whine. The TVS makes this really cool whistle sound at idol, kinda like a turbo, but shifts immediatly to a nice deep whine at WOT. You should hear it without the hood closed. But when driving you just don't hear it whine for very long because you're at speed in a heart beat. The low-end torque is a thing to behold and gets you shifting through gears faster than a politician spending your tax dollars.
