Beautiful Blower Whistle....

I am assuming I am not the only one that loves to hear that awesome blower whistle when things get going. I only wish it were louder and lasted longer. I know the supercharger will spin faster with a smaller pulley, so I am assuming it will be louder as well. I have ordered the smaller blower pulley from Roush and am curious if I will hear it better?

i love the sound to..2.57 pulley and the 10% crank pulley will def ring alot of noise out of that m90 blower..but at the same time needing a larger heat exchanger and def. more fuel. but what the hell..the whine is music to our ears.

It gets alot louder if you do the CAI install as well. I have that along with Carmens 2.57 pulley. That thing screams with that combo.

I would have to agree with Iflyagfour. The cold air intake will make the most difference. The stock airbox acts like an intake muffler.

I have Carmen's 2.57 pulley, replaced the Roush Pulley. I don't think the Roush pulley is worth the money. It's not that much smaller then stock. You will get a little more whine, but the 2.57 pulley really makes it better.

My Whipple makes more of a howling sound at first, it sounds like a jet plane. Then you can hear a whistle sound. Check out this video of it on the dyno.

Thanks!

I had a Neon SRT toying with me a day on the way home from work during the summer. All I had to do was give it a little gas in 5th gear at 2,200 rpm's to make that howling noise. He heard that, got a HUGE smile on his face and gave me a thumbs up.

All I do is give em a little nitrous toot from the purge and they change lanes.

A porting job will make the blower a lot louder. When mine came back from steig it was a lot louder with the stock pulley then I put the 2.57 on it and now it really screams.

Thanks

Thanks to all for the awesome vids. I must admit the change to a Whipple has crossed my mind several times but I really like what I have now. Especially since its paid for... well kind of. Of course a Carmens pulley on a ported case would be a great winter time project.... So where do I look for a Carmens Pulley, and a charger porting company? Would it be like Extrude Honing the case? I know I have seen Carmens name and references to it all over this site but I am ??? Thanks for the assist!
