Congrats on some awesome number. Never thought the M-90 was capable of putting out that kind of power. But then again you have done just one or two other little helpers on there. Well done!

Good HP #'s congrats - your TQ looks a bit low. How much timing are they running in your tune.
usually we see about 460+ hp / 440+ tq

Congrats.

Carmen
Hold on just one second!! I too have Carmen's pulley's and a couple of mods BUT have not dyno'd yet.

The jury is still out as to who may hold the TOP IRON IN TEXAS! I know Max is shaking in his shoes I might be pushing 477 hp.

I will have Top Aluminum in Texas as soon as my new Roush P-51 short block arrives in about a week. Yes, I blew the stock block. Recently, I installed a Killer Chiller, BBK LTs, BBK O/R mid pipe & Roush O/R cans and when the block goes in I will tune to the neighborhood of 700. Talk about silly stupid, I can't even drive it at 500.

Sheeeeesh, thats just disgusting. I guess I am going to have to step up at some point. Would be fun. That thing is going to be a beast. What happened with the stock motor?

Cason, go dyno it already lol. We still need a good ol fashioned race.

BBR, That is something I am working out with Joe. I think its due to the cams in the car right now. I think we are going to adjust the fuel curve and advance the timing just a bit. This was the first few pulls out of the garage, so not a bad place to start.

You don't count. Ha. jk. That new motor should be a beast. While you are at it you should drop an all-wheel drive system in that sucker.

This contest only includes the good ole fashioned/old school M90 SC- not that monster TVS unit. You have to try hard to NOT get 500 Rwhp with that thing!

I do admit though that I have TVS envy and can't shake it.

Nice numbers. Wish I had known you were going to be over there. I would have loved to spend another day at HPP watching a car get tuned.

It was a surprise really. Just crusing down the highway, dropped it into fourth and then boom. I wasn't even on the gas. Bill at Stage 3 told me that happened to another guy with a TVS and stock bottom end when he put his car in cruise control.

This is how I understand the issue; To economize and get the most MPG our VCT retards the cams and the tune leans a/f when in cruise. Under load, everything changes back and the rotating assembly is fine under pressure, but come off-load and the pistons want to fly out of the engine. I think that's the laymans explaination for the physics of it. I'm sure someone else on here can provide a more accurate and articulate explaination of the chain of events.

I was going to get the P-51 block anyway, I just thought I'd have a little more time on the stocker. I was also hoping to sell it rather than junk it, oh well it's only money.

Good attitude about it. The way you explain it makes sense. Now you have me all nervous lol. I just talked to Spencer at Stage 3 about the 5.1 Stroker short block they have. I am thinking I might go that route.

That's okay. I guess I'll have to start another contest for TVS owners. I'm seeing more and more of them on this forum and there should be a few in Texas. You know how we like things big, especially blowers!

Can't go wrong with more displacement. And, the price on that block is very reasonable. The thing I liked about the Roush short block is that it comes with everything, like gaskets and new head bolts. Plus, I'm trying to get Bill to talk the folks over at Roush to MAKE US SOME DAMN ROUSH VALVE COVERS!!!

Have you at least done any internal (forged) work to support the extras and rwhp +'s ?

Iflyagfour, What mods do you currently have if you don't mind me asking?
Phyllis' girl is modded with internal work and just wondering about the competition level. We haven't had her girl on the dyno to find out the current potential or total rwhp or rwtq. We have several more mods planned in the near future, and a dyno run to see what she is running. But, want to know how we can scream out as much thoroughbreds as possible.
