I think I'm going to need to upgrade to VMP's new larger AFCO with fans. I'll let you guys know how it works if I get one.

What would be cool would be to do some driving on a hot day, stop and go, and monitor IAT's (datalog). Then, install the new monster, and repeat and see how much cooler the new setup is.

The fans are almost enough to sell me when I upgrade.

Let me know when you find a system that will lower your IATs by say 100 degs.
For every 10 degs you lower it you gain 1 HP, 100 degs, 10 HP
    Is it worth the bux?

Are you factoring in timing, or just using a linear decrease based on pressure altitude / temp like one would use on a Cessna 172 takeoff performance chart? I think it is a lot more than that. My M90 made 30 less HP when it was heat soaked due to pulled timing.

At the drag strip the heat soak cost me 3 tenths vs. letting the car fully cool down.

I can see this system working great in an autocross event. Since I'm usually waiting in line between runs and the fact that most courses are low speed... Hmmm... I am getting sold... lol

Here's another option with a comparison ( just for you Shane ) for a Gord's Ford heat exchanger. I friend of mine with a 427R just put this unit on his car with the dual fans.

Well, here is a picture of the car getting my pulleys installed in my garage, but I don't have any of the heat exchanger itself. As you can imagine, it is pretty well buried in the front end.
