it almost looks like the BBR is a steeda unit have no proof but they look the same

What do they mean exactly that is requires minor modification for use in a Roush?
How is it different than installing it in a GT500? Also, I just noticed Steeda uses single pass while AFCO and BBR are dual pass. Any truth to Steeda's claim: "Don't be deceived by "double pass core" claims to superiority over our 2-core single pass design. Surface area is king when it comes to cooling capacity, and no other heat exchanger on the market gives you the functional surface are ours does. Double pass core designs also force you to relocate hoses due to the inlet and outlet having to be on the same side. Our design does not require this modification for easier installation."

Well I don’t see how the bbr could be a dual pass I would call them and ask them to explain how theirs is a dual pass.
Anyhow the advantage of a dual pass is that it helps keep the hot and cold coolant separated However I don’t see how the surface area clam is true because the only difference is the fact that a dual pass has the inlet and outlet on the same side and there is a plate keeping the inlet and outlet separated while a one pass just put the inlet and outlet on opposite sides. It would have to be a triple pass if the inlet and out let were on opposite sides.

The Steeda exchanger is a direct bolt in for the Roush cars. It fits perfect in the bumper opening. Dual pass doesn't make a difference over the increased surface area. They will both get the job done.

OK so seems like AFCO it is...
One question to those that have installed it; is it bolt-on in terms of that it bolts right into place of the stocker...with the exception of running a new line? Thanks for all the help guys!!

Damaged Heat Exchanger
I apologize if the answer to this question has been posted elsewhere... I am in need of a new heat exchanger due to small rock that punctured mine 1 day after buying my 07' 427r. I would like to know if anyone has updates as to the ease of installation with the AFCO exchanger and / or pics of an installation. I don't want to spend $650.00 on a ROUSH part but also don't want to void my remaining warranty. Thanks

The Steeda and the BBR is the same heat exchanger. Honestly. Go with the AFCO. It's a better unit.

To prevent this damage from happening in the future, does anyone manufacture a screen that can be mounted to the opening in the fascia ? I realize this might restrict some airflow, but I wouldn't mind as long as I don't have to keep shelling out $$$ everytime road debris hit the exchanger.

no, nothing that is pre-made. I'm sure you could cut up some screen and make something work.

I only have 2 Grill kits available from an earlier run this year. So if your interested you may want to let me know ASAP.
FnSweet Forums For-Sale Section - "FordFan" lower Grill kits, fits 2005-09 Roush bumper cover - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds At this time these are the last grills, I maybe wrong but the future demand won't be enough to justified my investment of funds to make another run of 20.
