The dash kits are adjustable. It will take you a few tries to get it right.

With some adjustment you should be able to get it to sit flush. Mine is perfectly flush, just took some time to get it just right. As far as sound quality, once you have it all dialed in it will sound better then stock. Way more adjustments on your new unit with built in cross overs etc, just spend some time playing with those settings and you will be amazed at how much better it will sound. Took me two days of playing to get it right. As soon as you get it all set, you change your mind, plus most of the aftermarket radios you have to adjust for each function such as CD, iPod, Radio, Sat, etc.

Well, I tried it again this morning and bam!!! there it is... Its not perfectly flush due to a clearance problem with the motorized face and the face plate. I had to slightly push it outward in order to resolve the clearance/interference issue. But its a lot more flush than yesteday. I am happy with the way it looks now!!

Thanks guys!!! I need to take some pics now... lol

Its just do d@mn hot out there...how do people work out doors in this heat!! OMG!!! I washed the car and the more I dried it, the more I was sweating...
This FL heat is just unbearable!!!
    Anyway...

I do feel a lot better about the mod now that it sits almost perfectly flush...

    Thanks guys!!

Hey guys, I have a question for you!!

During my install, I found two un-used harnesses. One was behind the left set of buttons on the center console (opposite side of the TC, Hazards, and Pass Air Bag)...what is this connector for?

The other is located under the floor center console (shifter/cup holder), it was just tucked underneath right were the "My Color Lights" button would be. Would this be the connector for this option? I thought that was a 2009 option?

    Any insight would be helpful!!

    Thanks

I think the first one is for a trip computer for calculating mpg, distance to empty, etc.
I think the second is for the switch for heated leather seats for us sissy's that live in the north.

    Bad-ass would be an understatement.
