I'd say no more then 700 hp. The temps is what i worry about. On the Trak pak with the TVS after 10 mins running hard 250 Head temps. all the boost just gets the motor hot, after so long i'm sure cracks will develop

When you get over 500 HP, you tend to twist the aluminum blocks. Cobras have iron blocks as well. Same thing with the LS1/LS2 GM blocks. Thats why they developed the LSX block. A lot of guys use the LS3 truck block as well.

I thought I read many years ago that the 3V block was pretty strong could handle about 700~800 horses, just the rotating assembly was bad.
So in the Cobra (GT500) for cost and strenght they went with steal. Alum. was 'moving' too much.

just doing some cost analysis at this point. a lot depends on what the 2011 5.0 has for guts.
if it don't come forged, the motor in mine now, may just end up on an engine stand
