I presume you have the volume on the iPod at max and the radio's volume up to 5-6 bars? for some reason the iPod's volume is weak going thru the Aux.

Do these play Ipods? Thought they could only play MP3 players? I still plan on getting SOMETHING to play in the car other than CD's. Does the local dealership in town know how to integrate the system?

Do you have to buy any additonal components to play outside devices? Any kind of cord or anything?

Stop worring about the music and just listen to the engine...

If you hear "dead air," are you sure you are tuned to the AUX input on the head unit? My ipod plays fine on my '08.

I've never had a problem with mine playing. Sounds like a problem with the connection, or in the radio itself.
Would this be covered under any warranty to have it checked?

If its under warranty, take it in, if not, you'll have to remove the center console and check the connections. Make sure the plugs are connected. Someone might have forgotten to connect one or both of the ends (radio to aux port).

Some Ipod models require a different voltage to work. I have no problem playing my second gen nano but I need a voltage adaptor to use my touch.

Yes, the 08+ models come with an iPod plug in the center console.

I have no problem with my 07 at all. sounds like maybe a possible compatibility issue or something.
