When I had my 2008 GT/CS I almost bought the Saleen dark horse hood just because i wanted a hood with vents. I hope it won't be to much of a PIA to keep the engine bay clean...?

    You like louvers...
I was talking with Paul Brown of Tiger Racing, about his 05-09 bodystyle racing hoods.
He now has them for newer 2010 and up models, as well.
I like the look, but the stripes to be added are gonna be a pain,
but still do-able(I'd go with painting the stripes).
Here's a few photos of the hood unpainted, and on on a 05-09 mustang so you can see the fit.

    That is an AWESOME hood!!!
I want one!!! But what happens with WA weather and all the rain? Will the engine get drenched and spark plugs start swimming?

Another question, will it fit with our superchargers; M90 or TVS...?

I am going to keep watching as I know it is just a matter of time before someone gets the PN for those 2013 Louvers and installs them. I would consider it myself.

All the GT-500's from 2007 and up all have heat extractor hood vents. I see nothing at all to stop rain water from pouring into them. I agree, they look real cool...*BUT I don't want a ton of water on everything.....esp the main wiring harness. You get water into those 3 x big ECU plug assy's, or anywhere else, and you are just asking for trouble. Either intermittent electrical faults and or loads of corrosion and rust. A local buddy decided to clean his engine bay and motor with a garden hose + sprayer... on his Volvo. We spent months de-bugging it, never again.

Here's the ones I've really liked and would maybe, someday, have put on a different hood just for track weekends. These were installed on Supersnakes 427RTP by CarFX back in early 2010 I believe...after he smashed up his other car at Barber during Mustangs 45th Anniversary.

I have one question ... is there a hood that is lighter than our stock aluminum hood?

I saw them advertise it but I never noticed actual photos of them. I remember it said for competition only ... So are they .. or were they if they are no longer available ... lighter?
