    Yes to cameras.
The guy I rent my shop from just put a new system in.
He's waiting for whomever to contact him back because he can't figure out how to operate it.
I just hope he had the new system set to "REC"!

Not trying to justify actions but perhaps the person backed into you and didn't realize it. Or the person just didn't want to be held accountable for their actions! Had that happen to me and a neighbor got the lady's license plate. At any rate it's not too bad and that is what insurance is for. Still sucks though!

We keep decent digital cameras accompanied with car chargers in case of altercations while we are in or near our vehicles, but you can't really do anything if some ass does the old hit and run.

I hurt for you, but even more so becaause it is silver--tough color to match. Hope the cameras help you out!

I feel for you, just noticed the other day that someone hit my rear bumper. Not sure when or where, but there are spider cracks on the bumper and it's scuffed down to the black plastic just above the license plate. Assholes!

That sucks. Thats why i leave mine in the garage but you cant avoid everything. i caught a gravel off of a passing dump truck a couple of months ago and was so pissed. If it was only me in the car i'd turned around but was talked out of it.

Looks like ~$200-$300 of body work. I wouldn't even file a claim at that rate.

Just painting the fender will cost $300 not including fixing the fender. It has the light pushed back plus not lining up with bumper or hood so its pretty tweaked.I suspect new bumper - tear could be fixed but not in good spot for doing that type of repair. Silver are a hard match color. After fixing fender you can blend back part so match is almost not noticable. As you have seen most plastic parts painted not even from factory match worth a damn so bumper is the part that will not be a exact match.I would estimate with new bumper repairs around $1300.Good luck with the repairs.

You are out of your GD mind.
The paint alone is $130'ish per quart.

    YES!
    Solved!
I assumed it happened at my shop because I didn't notice it when I left that morning. Fast forward to this morning...I live in an apartment complex. As I was leaving this morning, a resident stopped me and said, "I know who hit your car. There are 2 other witnesses, too."! Thursday morning we had a frost. The young lady backed into it. I spoke to her today. She apologized several times and stated that she'd take care of it. She gave me her insurance info and as luck would have it, we have the same insurance company. Anyway, I feel better about this now. NOW, if I can get her to go out with me it'll be a perfect ending. LOL!

To the nimrod that said $200-300 bucks. I sent a pic of the torn fascia to my friend, also the Body Shop Manager for Lance Cunningham Ford. He said the fascia will be replaced. That alone is almost a $700 dollar part.

Lastly, I talked to another friend that happens to be Lance Cunningham Ford's painter. I asked him about the silver matching. He said the UI paint code is pretty easy to match. There won't be any problems. He also said, "we'll get that hood taken care of too while it's in the shop."
