To me, a Roush is a Roush... 150, Focus or Cougar... as well as Mustang. I can't get the people I have to answer to to order one. I don't think the design is as good as the Saleen, but I do like the fact that the car is performing better n/a than the Saleen n/a. The Saleen Focus that we have gets attention.. but once people hear that the activation of the bottle voids the warranty on the motor and tranny... they get turned off. So many people have sat in our N20, and moved the gearshift like they were driving, I had to re-attach the knob on the shifter.... Just a big play toy for customers that don't buy...
I think a far better move for Roush is what they are doing with the F-150. They have a package called the "Tejon" and it's the base package on the truck.. You pick up chrome 20's and tires, true dual exhaust, hood scoop if I remember right, and graphics... retail on the package is something like 4k... and really.. that's not too bad. Value in the package that improves the overall look and performance for the vehicle... I would love to order one.. I think that's something that will sell. Good to see that direction at Roush.
I think I counted 8 2004 Cobra coupes in stock yesterday, 2 2004 Cobra convertibles, and 2 2003 Cobra convertibles, then another 50 or so Mustangs in stock.. My mystic chrome coupe has been in stock for about 3 weeks and nobody has even asked about it... Things have just died all over... We are leading the city with something like 40 cars sold so far this month... scary.
Sum it up... I don't see the Roush Focus being a big seller... I think it will be like the cougar.. F-150... good move... Cobras all over the place.
