DOT Drag Tire and Rim Question

    Hey guys,

I’m new here and this question may have been asked before. I was going to post in the racing section but it looked like more questions of this type were asked in this section.

My car is a 2010 GT with a ROUSH M90, 3.55 gears and stock 18” tires and rims. I’m not a hardcore drag racer but want a set of DOT drag tires to bolt on when I do play at some local events.

BRENSPEED has what they call the Silver Bullitt Drag Pack. It consists of two new take-off 17” factory Mustang rims and two 26x11.50x17 M/T Streets for $649.00.

Here is a link with the package details.

Are any of you running a similar set up or have advice on the tire and rim package? Would this be a good set up for my car? I will not be running them on the street.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

2008 427R, slightly tweeked. Tired of the up in smoke John Force thing every time I hammered it. Sideways in third, though looking impressive, is not fun or fast. MT Drag Radial 305/35R18 on Roush wheels. Problem solved. Contrary to popular belief these things "Do" corners. Not much softer than high end $500 each whatevers. Don't expect them to go 35K, but the car only has 17K miles on it now.
