    Stock block?

I may sound like an idiot asking this but I've been curious for a while now. Are all the roush now on stock blocks making this much power? Or does roush forge them now like they did with the p51

Here is where I'm confused now..... All these guys who have a stock gt and start tuning it and have all the cylinder 8 problems, how are roush engines not having the same issue? So now we can all start pointing our fingers and say there were thousands of bad tunes, but we all know roush doesn't have the best of tunes out there either

the number 8 problem from what ive heard is not as big as people think. ford even looked into it and decided it didnt warrant changes given the acceptable rate of failure still under 2% (i believe) which is expected in any product. however subtle changes like lack of oil piston squirters and cooling measures were made without mention for 2013 models. also some failures were attributed to early tuning mistakes but now that the 5.0 has been out a while many horror stories have stopped popping up. roush uses the stock block and tends to keep it on the conservative side too so as not to stress the engine for warranty reasons so that may help things out. the only one ive heard of that is built ala p51/2010 stage 3 is a 1 of a kind 625 hp sae foundation anniversary version with already built 5.0 aluminator as a regular production model. i would love to see that become a regular production model ...id splurge on that rather than the new gt500.

American muscle even has a cyl #8 warranty on their tunes these days ! That new FRPP aluminator motor, (a coyote 5.0 with forged everything and better oil pump + boss 302 springs, + 9.5:1 compression) is the real deal, complete with oil squirter's. It's made for blower's. It's only $7.2k vs $6.2K for the normal 5.0 coyote. If Roush was smart, they should only be using aluminator motor's in all their cars. They wouldn't have to forge a normal coyote motor either..like they did with the p-51, p52 and 2010-S3 and 2010-540H motor's. All roush has to do is buy aluminator motor's..and buy em in bulk, like hundreds of em. http://www.fordracingpartsdirect.com...6007-a50sc.htm

Touche. And if Roush ordered 200-500 of em in one shot.... they could get em for a heck of a lot less than that.

So # 8 isn't a engine defect it's more of a aftermarket tune issues that are being corrected
