1) Side exhaust
2) Painted Stripes
3) Fewer Special models
A better Roush V6 would be awesome, and you'd see me as the first one in line. Not like the S197 V6 that was stickers and crap. I mean a fully decked out version. Just make it cheaper than the Shelby - shouldn't be too hard.
Look like a V8 on the outside (like the SN95 cars did), brakes, suspension, wheels, interior and a power adder.
I hear roots blown V6s are taking the Mustang scene by force.![]()

I think everyone's ideas should be looked at. I think a kick ass V6 version would be cool. Side exhaust, a rear seat delete like the old GT 350's, engine dress up kits, monster brakes, and more comfy seats. I also think the Focus should return to kick ass and take names while not getting 2 MPG on the track...
I would like to see:
- a functional hood scoop, new design also!!
- window louver kit properly put on or remove it( with high speeds it either flies off or ratles)
- front and rear brakes the same and painted ( new brake pads which do not give off so much dust, use red or green brake pads)
- new original exhaust (maybe 4 pipes!),
- painted stripes or no stripe at all ( forget those cheap stickers)
- no hood pins, they just are in the way every time the hood opens...
- hood with hydrolic lift (like ford explorer), so there is no metal pipe holding it up anymore
- antenna which goes down automaticly, or put in windows so you cannot see it
- take out the shaker system,
- no plastic steering wheel, use real aluminium
- more bling under the hood
- gauge for oil pressure (not in the vents, but new dashboard)
- gauge for supercharger PSI( not in vents, new dashboard , so you see all 6 gauges in one look
- lighter body panels( car must go under 1400 Kilo's)
- LED front and back lights
- better side mirrors, something aerodynamic, not those huge things Ford makes
- suspension may also be airsuspension, more comfort... and better for those speed bumps ( so the car can be lifted a little)
- 19 Inch standard rims, new design, not those easy 5 stars..!!!
- on the back bottow a nice air diffuser
- special vents on the front bumper to cool the front brakes more
- special vents on the side to cool the back brakes more
to name just a few items....![]()
Side Exhaust, Signed personally by Jack before it leaves the plant, and make fewer models.
Rubbin is Racing boys!!!
I have thought up a couple of extra's which could be added:
- Bigger grill, more agressive (like the new Audi's), which will give more cooling to the engine, leave the mid bumper out
- maybe a custom dashboard? which curls a little to the driver so he can see everything?
- Start buttom, like in racing?
- In rally racing and other racing they use some kind of device which lifts the car up in total, easy for the tyre switch, maybe they can put that as an option? They are racing legends, why not put more of the racing to the car, in stead of looking like an airplane (which it doesn't!)
- air suspension? or did I mention that?
Are you willing to pay big $$$ for all this??, People are not lining up for a $60,000 Mustang these days. Roush will stick to what they do best, make bolt-on parts that can be produced in mass quantity, easy for them and tuners to install, and stay within their perimeters to cover it all under warranty. Basically what you will get is what Roush offered in the past, bolt on parts and maybe something special like the P51A motor.I have thought up a couple of extra's which could be added:

Fuel, Air Freshner, Wheel Cleaner, Tire gloss spray.
I would pay extra for it, if the car was severly limited and thus very rare, maybe 50 cars total. The car has to be totally different and a real race car and not something with 2 new items and then give it a new number like the 429, and then be able to sell "limited" numbers again, I think that is just a marketing issue what Roush is doing now and selling something new, which is just the same as last year only with a new number and a strut brace.
the P-51 is also the same, just bigger engine and and new badge which refers to the plane....
Or they can have a options list, for those who want only a few things.
I think that people would like that, look at the super snake of Shelby, the car varies between 120000 and 150000 even! and still the car is ......
- A model with forged internals, ala the P-51
- Painted stripes
- Turbo option or model
- Big box of doughnuts in the front passenger seat, preferably of differing varieties, and definitely some with sprinkles

I'll have to echo this. I think we have to think reasonably. What we think Roush will offer is much different than what we want Roush to offer.
I agree with painted stripes since I've read too many posts on striping issues.
I read that if Ford does come out with the TTV6, it will be moderately to severely down-tuned. I don't remember where I read this or if it has any validity to it but if it is in any way true, it leads me to an answer to this thread's question: I think Roush will open that TT up and produce a very competitive V6 Mustang. If not, I am very interested to see what Roush does do with the possible TT model. I would want to see somewhere between 400-500 rwhp out of the TTV6 with Roush additions (is this completely out of line? I'm a n00b).
The current models are topping out at what, 435, 450? This is more of a wish or comment but I think Roush needs a faster straight-line Mustang. The DragPak was a good idea but didn't produce or sell. I keep seeing on the forums - Should I get a GT500 or 428R etc. People always argue that the GT500 has more HP and lower drag times. Whether this is true or not, my opinion is that Roush needs to produce a model that is undoubtedly the fastest 1/4 production Mustang out there. I understand that Roush is about the track and not the drag strip and they certainly out perform there, but a drag model that actually produces results will sell in my opinion.
I'm thinking that Roush will update their body kits. Of course, they will have to to make them fit on the new body style but I what I mean is they will come out with an entirely new concept. I would hate to see 2010 Roush Mustangs with 2005 body kits modified to fit the 2010 body. I want to park my 2010 model next to a 2005 model and in an instant know which is which like you can easily do with the 2005 and 2004 models.
I just can't wait to see what becomes of the 2010 Roush Mustangs!

My 2 cents...
*Painted stripes are the way to go.
*All ROUSH's siged by Jack at plant on dash "other sigs if a special event"....but at least initial sig helping to show it's original.
*Yes....+1000000 on less models.
IMO....STOP dealers from making and selling FOUSH's unless they represent them as such![]()
the tripple gauge pack that comes with the trackpac....would be nice....oil ...temp...and boost......instead of a dummy lights

Roush is in the Mustang business to make money anything limited to 50 is not profitable for them, it needs to be mass produced to justify R&D cost. Don't look for Roush to make a "real race car" because its either street illegal or not drivable, the only thing come closest to a "real race car" from Roush is a suspension upgrade like the Track Pac. The last American company to make a real street race car was the Saleen S7, that car came and went and we all know what happened to Saleen after that. Point is , if it can be bolted on, there's a go chance Roush will modify it, if it needs to be cut, modified, or altered, then cost will not justify them to do it.I would pay extra for it, if the car was severly limited and thus very rare, maybe 50 cars total. The car has to be totally different and a real race car and not something with 2 new items and then give it a new number like the 429

I was kidding...........;^)
I also would like to see more gauges, less idiot lights- by the time the light comes on you are screwed, anyway.
Last month at Road Atlanta, coming off the hill toward turn 12, the motor did a cough mid corner. Quick scan of the gauges showed water temp spiked 10 degrees, just before I felt the loss of power. Yes, we check gauges at 95 mph mid corner.
That is turn 12 at the bottom of the hill, P.L. Newman at the controls.
Not a good place to blow an engine!
Was able to pull off at 1 with no damage, I can see, done. Replaced head gaskets, intake, exhaust, but no repair work. Gauges are our friends!
I think the 2010 Mustang will have a new badge
