A couple thoughts relative to stripes. I ordered my car stripe-less because I like it that way, plus I had read/seen too many issues with the stripes. So if the 2010 were to offer painted stripes from the factory, how much would you be willing to pay? I've seen posts where people paid not hundreds, but sometimes a thousand (or more) for a good quality painted stripe job. Mass production should lower that number, but on the other hand we all know that Roush optional equipment is not cheap. Just another thought along the lines of "we must be reasonable in our wishful thinking."

Oh and I'd like to get it cheaper too.
That's not too much to ask for is it?
I think Audie has hit it on the head. A specialty built car should not be produced in large numbers and should own the streets in its own class.

And with so many Mustang "tuner models" out there, Roush should do the homework and make sure no one has "one upped" him.

Unfortunetaly, Jack Roush is into making money not making limited Mustang. Like the S197, he will milk the cow until it is dried. The trick is to wait for that particular "special" (p51a) that will be coming out and skip the rest that will be a clone of itself (stage3, 427r,428r)

I know some of this is already available or possible to do but having it factory installed on a build sheet would be nice!!

Plus let's have painted stripes and maybe Roush could make their own roush hood. A special hood would really set it apart, kind of like the way saleen's hood sets their cars apart. Not to mention the hood fluttering issue with the S197 stock hood.

The folks at Roush are excited about it so I'm sure we'll like it.

2010 idea

2010 Roush Stage 3 R-TKO "Roush Track/King" (O stands for 10)
(the name alone would be a slap in the face to shelby)
*new track pak-
everything the track pak had plus,...
subframe connectors, 14" rotors on rear also, water-to-air intercooler,
fog-light delete (replaced with cooling ducts to cold air-intake)
p51b engine/blower set-up (2 belt system), restyled spoiler, and carbon composit hood, and limited to 51 only, and only offered 1 per state. also priced right, not asking for an $70k+ car like the KR ($81,500+)
mabye offered in 2 packages,... one 525hp/525tq other 555hp/550tq

just an idea???

I see a bunch I would agree with but one thing I haven't seen yet that I think would add tremendous PUNCH (but also take a little away from the Heritage of the Mustang). That is a 40/60 all wheel drive set up. Maybe even a 30/70. Either way the idea would be to increase handling and decrease the 500 ponies from being just spinning instead of grabbing and shooting forward.

I drove an all wheel drive car (S4) for a few years and it handled like it was on rails.

The problem of course for the Mustang is it would no longer be a rear wheel muscle car and there may be some additional weight. In my opinion the expense would be worth it in a "all wheel" performance package.

Of course this would be a development nightmare for Ford in this economy but if you think about it...all the of super-performance cars out there (other than the Viper and Corvette) are doing some form of all wheel drive. It would then be able to at least be driven in the rain (a little more easily).

I also like the painted stripes, functional hood scoop, maybe some bad-ass LCA's and GAUGES!!!!

I would like something akin to the Cobra R. This is to say........

1) All the go fast stuff, engine, exhaust, suspension, brakes.

2) Basic everything else - cloth seats, no carbon fiber, no extras

3) Minimal body adds, maybe just the Roush fascia

I guess this makes it similar in scope to the old 360R huh?

What will the Roush Mustang offer in 2010?

A Aluminum small block 427 -575 HP with a 6 speed transmission with 4.10 Running gears; like I wanted when we ordered our 07-427 Vert! A package that will interchange with our Roush 4.6 3 Valve and be able to buy as an option!
