Hawk pads are labeled on backing plate- stock # and compound "HB711.650, HP+"
Brake pads are made to operate at different temperatures.
Street pads are made to be decent stopping, little dust and quiet on the rotors.
Race pads, well, they rarely get hot enough to work well on the street.
They are bedded in forward direction, but there may be enough bevel that one end hits before the other- why we have multiple pistons in the 1st place, but it still happens. Since they are not getting hot backing up...I hope, they aren't gripping real well and will vibrate or squeal.
You can coat the back of the pads with a special hight temp silicone where the pistons touch and that should damp most of the squeal.
