No, it shouldn't anyways.
To remove-heat up the emblems with a hair dryer or heat gun (set on low) and gently pry the old ones off. There will be some of the tape left behind, warm that up and peel it off with your fingers. Before you apply the new ones, make sure you clean off the surface with rubbing alcohol. A good tip too would be to apply some 3M adhesive promotor, available at an auto paint retailer like Painters Supply (
