That shop is guranted to be wrong. There is only one type of stem that has been put in cars since they started making them. It is a standard tr13 valve stem. Just take your car to well know tire store and they will get you fixed up. If in some weird reason that your car does happen to have a tr15 valve any good tire store should have that stem. I called a goodyear shop that said your first line almost word for word. They swore they could fix it. They looked at the valve stem and said the other shops didn't know what they were talking about, a pull through would work fine. They yaned the tire off, pulled out the stem and said, WTF. None of their stems would work. Apparently the hole is smaller then the standard .453" hole. They tried putting some sealant under the current leaking one and said they slowed the leak. No charge, but wasted an hour. Worse yet I just checked it and the tire is flat, so they made it worse.
