Id say its more a pulley alingment issue than the tensioner. The tensioner if bent will ride the belt off on an angle and shred it. Now the Roush tensioner ive never seen one bend and like mentioned above ill send you a FREE new one if it does!

I had one instance with a P51 car i saw at a track event in virginia. I felt it was a belt alignment issue after i saw his problem. He was actually throwing the belt off under hard driving. To me it looked as if the alignment of the altenator was off and was throwing the rest of the belt routing off.
