I am not sure the brand is a big issue on the BT remover. And it is made for car paint so it should be safe.
I honestly dont know if a tab exists on the 2005+ cars, but ROUSH performs this same operation when they do conversions so it should cover just fine.
I dont know how old your car is, but you should not have much of a paint fade problem. You might use some light rubbing or polishing compound on the area if you do have some paint weathering or aged in dirt and that should take care of it.
