Since I bored a gauge hole out a bit anticipating I'd be able to use a braided hose kit for my oil pressure gauge, the hole is too big now to hold the gauge since I had to stick with the nylon tubing. I have been using regular 3M electrical tape to keep it in place. It works great, the gauge fits in the pod perfectly, until it sits in the sun for awhile and the tape/glue heats up so much and becomes so "pliable," that the gauge works its way out of the pod. I then have to pull the gauge all of the way out and put a new piece of tape on.
If I got some high temperature tape, is there a specific heat resistance that I should look for? I don't know how hot it gets, so I'm not sure what I should get. Before it gets said, I know I should get a new pod, but I don't have the money or time to invest into that option at the time (1/2 of my shifts at work got cut some time ago, just making it by right now). A roll of tape is much more feasible since it is getting the job done.
