Most directional tires are so for the removal of water from under the tire. Tread direction is all that makes them directional. I have been criss crossing directional tires for many years with no negative effects. Common sense would dictate that if you have the rotation the wrong way to take it easy in the wet on the highway. Should make no difference on local city streets.
Not an issue on my 427 as it does not get driven on wet streets.
