Yup...they are both on the same side for the factory roush exaust set up.
I wanted to keep my flowmasters....and it is possible to use other mufflers. Although it requires some custom work..it seems. As the outlet is on the back....a pipe can be bent in a horseshoe..or U shape and brought back to the middle of the car ...towards the rear tire. That is what I have on my 98 GT aftermarket roush. ![]() |

i'm guessing that would mess up some of the back pressure but not enough to actully make a difference, right?

Yup...There is nothing like seeing your exaust smoke roll up the side of your car on a cold day! |

I'm new to this forum stuff but i do know your side exhaust confusion. When i got my car 2 or more years ago i bought 2 flowmaster 40-series mufflers with a custom X Pipe and turn downs (i HIGHLY recommend this for people without side exhaust). Then a year ago i bought the roush body kit and went to about 5 muffler shops to find out that i HAD to buy new mufflers. Now i have the side exhaust with 2 flowmaster 3-chamber mufflers (that's the only kind they make with the same end inlet/outlet) and i HATE it! My advice to you is see if anyone can curve the exhaust like an "S" or just do like i'm probably gonna do and just cut mufflers off and run it straight out the side.
